And That's How a Gallery Is Born...
So here we are: Garrick, Linda, Dante, Joe, Stephanie A., and Stephanie L. (taking the pic) after we realized we have a gallery! (Steve is part of the crew, but not pictured.)
After Garrick and Dante finished their delicate yet complicated dance to bless the space (see above), we got right down to business. Who new starting a gallery would be so hard? Instead of filling you in on those details, you get to experience the fruit of our hard labor: ART! This wonderful space has a beautiful gallery on the main floor. In the lower level will be more surprises and a separate retail space.
We have a lot of people to thank for helping us achieve this dream. Bruno, for letting a group of 7 artists invade his space, and all the other gallery owners in the Cleveland area who have been so patient and helpful while we bombarded them with questions: Low Life and Shoparooni in Collinwood, the Pop Shop in Lakewood, and Room Service in our very own 'hood, the Detroit Shoreway. There are more to thank, and I will add them later once I re-sort my brain.
So how is a gallery born? Chance, dedication, humor, organization, and perhaps some delusion. So please join us Friday, November 20th from 6:00-11:00p for our first opening and share in our delusion!
