"It's a FESTIVUS for the Rest of Us!"

You are invited to join us Friday, December 18th for our Opening Reception for FESTIVUS! We will show the artwork of many, many, many artists from the Cleveland and Greater Cleveland area. We'll post the artist line up soon!

What's also exciting is that everything will be priced at $100 and under! You can get a wonderful piece of art from a local artist as a gift and for yourself! But you better come early, when a piece is sold, it can come right off the wall! No waiting for the end of the show!(We're all about the exclamation point now, aren't we?! We're just that excited!! Here's a few more!!!!!)

This is a three day only event: Friday, December 18th 6:00pm-11:00pm, Saturday, December 19th 12:00pm-6:00pm, and Sunday, December 20th 12:00pm-5:00pm! But the reception will only be on Friday. We'll bring out the aluminum pole from the crawlspace, decorate a Pepperidge Farm cake with M&Ms, the Airing of Grievances will be optional, but we may just cancel the Feats of Strengths* this year...

*In case you're wondering, yes, Festivus is from Seinfeld.

Did You Know...

... that our neighborhood has lots of other places to visit? There are restaurants, bars, pubs, retail shops, and a movie theater! Make a night of it: you could come to our opening, visit a few shops, see a movie, and stop at a pub before heading home! Visit the Detroit Shoreway Neighborhood website for a listing of businesses.

Shop local, eat local, it's all good...

And That's How a Gallery Is Born...

So here we are: Garrick, Linda, Dante, Joe, Stephanie A., and Stephanie L. (taking the pic) after we realized we have a gallery! (Steve is part of the crew, but not pictured.)

After Garrick and Dante finished their delicate yet complicated dance to bless the space (see above), we got right down to business. Who new starting a gallery would be so hard? Instead of filling you in on those details, you get to experience the fruit of our hard labor: ART! This wonderful space has a beautiful gallery on the main floor. In the lower level will be more surprises and a separate retail space.

We have a lot of people to thank for helping us achieve this dream. Bruno, for letting a group of 7 artists invade his space, and all the other gallery owners in the Cleveland area who have been so patient and helpful while we bombarded them with questions: Low Life and Shoparooni in Collinwood, the Pop Shop in Lakewood, and Room Service in our very own 'hood, the Detroit Shoreway. There are more to thank, and I will add them later once I re-sort my brain.

So how is a gallery born? Chance, dedication, humor, organization, and perhaps some delusion. So please join us Friday, November 20th from 6:00-11:00p for our first opening and share in our delusion!
